Dorob · Flanelle · 2024
An editorial story between Swakopmund and the Ugab.
Treatment
Flanelle commissioned an editorial that asked the garments to read against landscape, not in front of it. The location had to deliver scale, weather, and a horizon that didn't end. Dorob did.
Coastal conservancy. Salt pans, granite outcrops, and a coastline that runs for 60 km without a paved road. Permits secured through MEFT, fly-camp accommodation, fleet from Swakopmund. Three shoot days, fog every morning, clearing by mid-afternoon.
Direction kept the figures small in frame — the brief was about scale, not portrait. Garments moved at the wind's speed. We didn't fight it.
